Swimming Pool
Prices
Swimming pools are recreation facilities
that provide a perfect venue for relaxation as well as a
great setting for showing off one’s competitive streak in
swimming and other pool-based sports.
As such, swimming pools come in a
variety of styles, shapes and materials depending on the
purpose for which they are built. Pools may either be built
in public places for general leisure activities or in
private homes for exclusive family or friends’ use. Swimming
pools that are part of public parks or sports areas are by
and large, built in bigger sizes and cost a whole lot more
than those in private homes. Swimming pools that are part of
a private home’s landscape usually cost less because of
their smaller sizes.
Swimming Pool
prices - Inground or Above Ground
Pools may be constructed above ground or
inground, depending on the chosen location and personal
preference of its owners. Above ground pools are commonly
preferred by private homeowners whose pool area may pose
some limitations in terms of space and whose desire for
faster installation is more urgent. Above ground pools are
built out of a kit, complete with almost everything from
resin and composite materials that are strong enough to
withstand water pressure or sunlight and long-lasting to
endure corrosion to top rails, buttress-free systems that a
give a seamless and streamlined look, protective finishing,
liners, filter system, pool water pumps and maintenance
kits.
Their prices are determined by their
size and the materials that are used. Compared to inground pool prices, above ground
pools are less costly. The smallest of which may be in the
size of 15 ft by 15 ft may cost anywhere from $3,000 to
$4,000. Above ground pools are easy to install and reputable
manufacturers provide 60-year warranty. Cheaper versions of
above ground pools that may be built in 30 minutes are those
made of triple-heavy, thick gauge vinyl that may be spread
out on a flat area in one’s backyard. Depending on size,
these types of pools may cost from $200 to $500 during
clearance sales.
Inground pools are installed longer and cost
more depending on the size and the materials used.
Naturally, smaller-sized pools of this type are less
expensive than their bigger counterparts. Construction can
take days and weeks as it involves digging a huge, deep hole
in the ground where the kit may be installed and the large
volume of water that needs to be filled in may take longer
to pump. The materials that are used may be steel walls,
polymer walls, cement or block walls or gunite or cement
plaster.
Swimming Pool
Prices - Materials Make A Difference
Steel walls are the cheapest at around
$17,000 for the small pools sized 16 X 32 while gunite or
cement plaster for the same size would cost as much as
$37,000. Larger pools at 20 X 40 using steel walls are
priced at $19,000 whereas gunite walls for these large pools
would be priced at $39,000. The other materials such as
polymer or cement walls are priced from $18,000 to $21,000.
These rates do not include other peripherals such as deck
work, fence, heaters and other high-end features. The price
tag for this leisure facility may seem a bit restrictive but
it will always be a source of summer fun for years and years
to come.
In the past, constructing a swimming pool in
one’s personal property was synonymous to luxurious and
expensive living. Nowadays, pools can be built as a
temporary structure that may be dismantled when summer is
gone or as a permanent feature of your home landscape.
Although it may generally be costly to build a pool, some
homeowners dreaming of building one can make their plan a
reality by choosing from several affordable payment options.
Building a pool is another wise investment as it can add up
to your property’s assessment value.
